Blog.. Blog.. Blog

Although I am an extremely unsentimental person with materialistic items, I am extremely sentimental with memories and moments in my life. So, why not write a blog every few days to hash out the wonderful events of our lives? I figure when I'm old and my children are grown, I will be thankful for doing this.

So here we are.

I suppose I should write an introduction blog to introduce myself to the blogging community...

My name is Jana and I'm currently 21. I'm obsessed with books, the 1920s-40s, George Clooney and deer. (I suppose all animals in general - deer just have a very special place in my heart.) I started working at Automax Hyundai at 16 years old and continued to work there until May of 2010 (5 years later) where I was a Human Resource Rep. I left Automax to work as a Senior Administrative Assistant at OU Health Sciences Center in the Section of Nephrology & Hypertension in Internal Medicine. It doesn't make sense to most people, but it was one of the hardest things I've done. I've been at OUHSC for 4 months and it's still a struggle I face every week. I miss my comfort zone. I miss my home. I miss my family. But we'll get into why I left there some other time.

Ryan is my husband and he is 24. He 's currently obsessed with the OKC Thunder (more specifically Kevin Durant), the band Gaslight Anthem, OU Football, tattoos and grizzly bears! He works as a Staff Assistant II for OU Norman (although he doesn't work in Norman) for the Center of Public Management who is contracted out to work for DHS. (His 'employers' confuse me.) He has been there about a year and half now and would love to find a new job. It's hard to be patient and wait sometimes but we've gotta do what we've gotta do.

We met at 16 & 19 years old through a mutual friend. It didn't take long to hit it off. I knew when I was 16 I would marry him... and I did 2 years later. Of course it hasn't always been perfect, but I love my husband more than anyone has loved before. We bought our first house in October of 2009 and although it's stressful to be a home owner at times, I love my cute old house.

Ollie is our miniature Australian Shepherd who will be 4 in December.
She is our "first born" - although she is the middle child in age.
We saw Ollie outside Office Depot before we were engaged and couldn't pass her up.
She was 6 weeks old and that was the best $75 I've ever spent!
She plays the Queen Bee role in the household and is the most social dog in the world.
She knows she's gorgeous and sweet and wants you to confirm it for her.

Comet is our soon to be 5 year old Chihuahua. I have an addiction to looking at pets on Craigslist and for once it paid off! I saw Comet and how scared he was and knew he needed me. I've never been a small dog person but Comet is my baby boy. Comet's usually attached at my hip and is weary of every one else in the world at times, except me.
Lady Bird came in to our life because I'm a sucker.
We got her from the shelter about 4 months ago maybe. She's a Pointer mix and a little over a year old. Ryan says I favor her. She's deaf and we're pretty sure schizophrenic. She likes to attack things that aren't there. She's incredibly sweet and just wants to be next to someone at all times.
(I think she has a major fear of abandonment.)
