"Don't buy a house during your first year of marriage!"

You're a smart man Dave Ramsey.

I don't know how life would be if Ryan and I would have bought a house during our first year of marriage... actually I do.. not as good as it is now. I wish more married couples lived by this rule. I know it sounds silly but being first time home buyers is a lot more than you realize... until you own one. The process of buying a house alone tears people apart. (Although, Ryan and I seemed to have the easiest "Let's buy our first house" experience ever. Nobody's home buying process sounds like ours at all. It's crazy. I guess that's just proof we're bad ass.)

What brings me to blogging is the fact that I just mailed my mortgage payment and then remembered our home warranty is almost expired and we need to get with it on calling all of our problems in.

Our refrigerator decided a few weeks ago that it was no longer going to stay cool. It's cool - but it doesn't even keep the ice frozen, let alone meat! So we scheduled for the warranty people to come out and fix it. Apparently, they were there for 20 minutes and decided they would have to talk it over with their manager to see if it's even worth fixing or if they should just replace it! On one hand, it's like WHAT? That's a nice fridge! But on the other hand, I'm like NEW FRIDGE FOR $55!! I'm in!

It's really frustrating when things break in your house... this is why I will never buy a house older than my mother ever again. (This is going to be my new rule.)

I can't wait to build my house that looks like this:
