4. List 10 things you would tell your 16 year-old self, if you could.
----------------------------------------------------------
1. Don't worry about what they think of you. I know you're already pretty good
about it but I know it gets to you sometimes. Be proud of who
you are. You're weird; embrace it.
2. BUT you should listen to your mother when she tells you your faux hawk is ridiculous.
It really is.
It's unfortunate that this is the only picture I have. |
3. Bring fans with you when you stay with Mallory in Duncan for the summer.
Her A/C in her apartment goes out and it's over 100 outside.
She also doesn't have A/C in her car. It's miserable
and you have to wear cheerleading shorts at all times.
4. Break up with Jeremy BEFORE you go to Duncan.
That will save you some heartache.
5. Don't be that heartbroken when he tells you he doesn't love you anymore
when you try to get him back.
Within the year you find the man you'll marry and nothing else matters.
You'll realize that you never truly loved him to begin with.
6. Ignore any boys named Seth that try to flirt with you.
Usually I would say you learn something from relationships,
so even when they are bad it's okay because you come out stronger.
In this case, just don't do it. You don't gain a single thing
but broken friendships and a really awkward song after you break up.
7. Your 1989 Buick Le Sabre is AWESOME. Cherish it.
You'll miss it when it's gone.
Just please remember to always carry oil and water in your trunk.
8. Get over yourself and dress out in aerobics class.
The fact that you failed that class will forever embarrass you.
9. I would tell you that you should probably actually go to school more.
But having the record for most missed days with the highest grade in your Comp Tech II
class is pretty impressive and you home school next year anyway so what's the point.
10. Hug your mom and tell her how much you love her more.
I know that you're 16 which means you're the ruler of your world right now.
It's also really uncool to like your parents
But your mom needs those things more than you know.
I'm pretty sure she worries about you every day.
You never really let her know you're okay or that you're not a bad kid.
You should. She loves you.
Holy Crap sister. This made me laugh...alot. But man, that last one just made me ugly cry for a few seconds.
ReplyDeleteI love you so much.
