The List: Week 12 - Typical Day

See the previous week here.

This will probably be the most boring post in the history of blogs.
My life is extremely exciting as you'll see below.

12. Describe a typical day in your current life.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

My first alarm goes off at 6:15 am. I don't hear this alarm yet I always manage to hit snooze in my sleep. My second alarm goes off at 6:30 which I don't hear either. Instead I can usually feel a jab in my side from a sleepy husband and hear something along the lines of "Jana! That is YOUR alarm." (I generally think that all alarms are Ryan's in my sleepiness.) My third and sometimes final alarm is at 6:45 when I begrudgingly hit snooze on accident instead of turning it off. I get up and in the shower. 5 minutes later I hear it go off in the other room and Ryan has to find it in the bed and turn it off.

Around 7 (on a good day) I'm out of the shower. That's a fast shower for me. I halfway dry my hair and put clothes on.

I drop Ryan off at work and then head to my parking lot where I put on my makeup and stall as long as possible before walking the 3 blocks to my building. I get out of my car at 7:55 every morning to walk into work. Technically I should get out at 7:53 since it's a 7 minute walk but eh.

I sit at my desk for the next 4 hours doing random things. I start with processing any emails or faxes I have from the night before and go from there.

12pm. I pick up Ryan for lunch. If we're being good, we go home for lunch. Otherwise we usually find our way to Subway or McDonald's. Ryan takes me back to work after lunch.

I sit for another 4 hours until 5pm where I close up my desk and wait for Ryan downstairs.

If we're good then I go home and cook or we find our way to some sort of restaurant and eat. We spend a lot of our evenings as of late playing Halo on xbox. I try to start a load of laundry every night so that we're always on top of it and it doesn't pile up.

We procrastinate going to bed until 10:30 and will watch a little bit of TV if we have anything on our DVR. Around 11 Ryan will turn on Joe Rogan and we'll go to sleep listening to The Joe Rogan Experience which is probably one of my favorite times of the day.

Speaking of, our 5 year anniversary is December 1 and I surprised Ryan with tickets to see Joe in Austin on our anniversary. I think I got wife of the year award for that.

Life sounds boring when you write it down.
What you don't read is all of the ridiculous faces and jokes Ryan & I play on each other all day long.
That's what makes my days special.
