That is exactly what you've been to me my entire life.

You have always been the one watching out for me,

guiding me, teaching me & loving me.

You are literally the definition of "parent".

You are the woman I aspire to me

& you are truly worth honoring.

After all, you survived my teenage angst.

That's worth honoring all on its own, right? :)

I can't say it enough:

I wouldn't be me without you.

all of you.

I'm sorry I was such a pain in the ass as a kid.

I know there are things that we probably both regret,

things we wish we wouldn't have said,

view we wish we would have had differently,

but in the end, you have always been just woman I've needed in my life.

in every single way.

I can only hope to be half as great at the job as you are one day.

Here's to you mom, & all of you mother's in the world.

Kids don't know how to show it sometimes,

but we love you all of the time.
